Aqueous oxygen peroxide

Bioquell  has been involved in the development of ozone based decontamination systems for over 10 years. Products have been developed for pharmaceutical, food and healthcare industries using ozone in either its gaseous or, when dissolved into water, its aqueous form.

Aqueous oxygen peroxide, more commonly known as ozone, is a molecule comprising three atoms of oxygen. This triatomic arrangement is unstable, making ozone molecules highly reactive. Ozone is an oxidising agent - one of the most powerful known to man.

As ozone oxidises other compounds, it loses an oxygen atom and forms oxygen. This powerful oxidation effect, coupled with the formation of oxygen as the bi-product of the reaction, makes ozone an excellent biocide. Ozone is generated at point of use, eliminating the need to transport and store potentially hazardous chemicals.

Its natural decomposition to oxygen makes it environmentally friendly and sustainable.
