Bio-burden reduction and management is a critical requirement of the food industry both from a public safety and commercial aspect. Food safety with regard to bio-contamination free products will always be of paramount importance.

However traditional manual cleaning, which is by its very nature - variable, is reliant on individual operator skills and effectiveness, but still remains the main method of managing this critical process within the industry. The use of hydrogen peroxide vapour (HPV) technology as a routine and emergency bio-contamination managemet tool, offers a significant step forward in disinfection and process control, with excellent efficacy against bacteria, fungi and moulds.

Aseptic food processing is an increasing trend in food production technology, avoiding the challenge of cold chain logistics and extending product shelf life. It also clear that bio-burden reduction and management, in non-sterile process, again extending shelf life, is also of benefit.
